After Builders Cleaning in Gloucestershire
A practical next step after renovation work
Renovation can leave dust on surfaces long after the tools have been packed away. DigiCleen after builders cleaning is designed for suitable properties where building work has finished and a detailed post-work clean is needed.
We assess the site, finishes and remaining materials before confirming the work. This is a cleaning service for safe, ready premises, not a replacement for the builder’s waste clearance or specialist hazardous-material removal.
Checklist approval
Review after every visit
What a post-renovation clean can include
The agreed checklist may cover accessible fine dust on suitable surfaces, reachable skirting boards and ledges, doors and frames, appropriate kitchen and bathroom cleaning, vacuuming with suitable equipment and compatible floor cleaning.
Internal glazing may be included where safely reachable and expressly quoted. Paint, adhesive, grout or cement residues require specific assessment: removal can damage glass, coatings or delicate finishes, so it must never be assumed.
We confirm a safe method for the surface rather than promise that every mark can be removed.
When the property is ready for cleaning
Before the visit:
If trades remain on site, please explain their schedule. Cleaning while further cutting, sanding or painting is happening may be ineffective and could require a separate return visit.
- Complete dust-producing work and remove active work hazards.
- Arrange removal of building rubble and bulky waste.
- Make sure floors and access routes are safe.
- Provide usable water and electricity.
- Allow coatings, sealants and flooring products to cure as instructed.
- Tell us about unfinished areas, exposed wiring or restricted rooms.
Dust needs a realistic plan
The extent of dust depends on the work, ventilation and how well areas were protected. Dust can settle again after an initial clean, particularly if it remains in inaccessible spaces or further work continues.
We agree whether the job is a single clean or a staged arrangement. A later visit is not automatically included unless listed in the quotation. We will explain any limitations found during assessment.
Hazardous materials and specialist exclusions
Do not book ordinary after builders cleaning where asbestos or other hazardous contamination is suspected. Hazardous dust, sharp waste, chemicals, high-level access and heavy lifting may need specialist contractors or different controls.
Please disclose risks before the visit. We may stop or decline work that cannot be carried out safely. Our Terms and Conditions explain access and safety responsibilities.
How we quote the work
A quotation considers the renovated area, dust level, materials, surface types, site access and agreed detail work. Photographs may help, but larger or complex jobs can require an assessment.
Any deposit is stated before booking and deducted from the final balance. Additional tasks need approval before charging. See Pricing.
If no building work is involved and your property simply needs a thorough reset, Deep Cleaning may be more suitable.
Final checks and handover
When the agreed work is complete, you or your representative can inspect it with the cleaner and sign the checklist. If you are absent, we send it for remote review and apply the approval and payment process described in our Quality Guarantee.
FAQs
After builders cleaning questions
Do you remove rubble or construction waste?
Not as part of the standard service. The site must be cleared of these materials beforehand.
Can you remove paint from every surface?
No. Some removal methods would damage the finish. We assess the surface and confirm what is appropriate.
Can I book a clean before moving furniture in?
Yes, subject to confirmed readiness and availability. An empty, safely accessible property often makes agreed surfaces easier to reach.
